Called
A NextGen Leadership Conference to explore, define, and activate your calling, for all those between 18-35 years old. 15-16 November, New Community Church, DA15 7DU.
whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him
Paul reminds us in Colossians 3:17 that whatever we do - in life, at work, in church - it's all done for the glory of God. All Christians are called to do whatever they are gifted in for the glory of God, wherever God places them.
But what does this look like in practice? How do you know you are called? How do you work it out? What do you do if you are called? How does this work in work? In church? Across the nations? (What does that even mean?!)
This NextGen Leadership Conference is for all 18-35-year-olds and will address a whole bunch of those questions and more, as well as time to get to know one another, times of worship and prayer, and food. Don't miss it!
Main Session Guest Speaker: Paul Ilo
Paul Ilo is the founding and Lead Pastor of The Higher Place, a church based in London, England, with a mission to see ordinary people transformed into passionate leaders for Jesus.
He holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and has written a number of books.
Paul’s other passion, other than supporting Arsenal Football Club, is his family. He is happily married to Debi, and together they are blessed with a son, Isaiah, and two daughters, Neriyah and Azaliah.
Paul loves spending time with his family, enjoys traveling and exercising, and ends too many sentences with the word, “Brilliant!”
Seminar Topics & Speakers
Whatever You Do - Niall Crozier & friends
Some estimate we spend as much as one third of our entire lives working. That means that ‘whatever you do’, whether paid or unpaid, whether you contribute to society directly or indirectly, is really significant. This seminar explores what it means to be called in the workplace and how we can use our vocations for the glory of God.
Loving the Local Church - Nick & Becky Harris and friends
"The local church is the hope of the world!" "Can you help put out the chairs?" Sometimes there seems a disconnect between what we believe about the local church and what it looks like on the ground, especially in the midst of full, busy lives. This seminar explores the beauty of the local church and how, amongst everything else going on in our lives, we can keep a passion for the thing that Jesus loves most.
