Sunday Gatherings
Since the very beginning, our story has been marked by constant change. Over the years we’ve met in different places and at different times; this continues to be true!
We are a church that gathers in Communities throughout the week in different places and at different times across the London boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, and Lewisham, and wider in places like Dartford, and Greenhithe.
On Sundays our Communities gather together, with lots of guests and people on a journey of discovering faith, exploring church, and wondering whether New Community is for them. We would love to invite you to join us!
We currently meet in three meetings in two different locations, simply pick the meeting that's closest to you, and/or suits you best!
A little bit of recent history...
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, we were a multi-venue church meeting in different locations across our local area. Things changed a little in March 2020!
After nearly a year and a half of being an online church, we returned to meeting in person on a Sunday. Throughout this period we felt God prompting us to once again increasingly push into the locations where we live, to prioritise being communities of good news, showing, sharing, and telling the good news of Jesus to the people who live in the places where we do.
Whereas previously we had focussed our attention on launching Sunday meetings in different places, we are now increasingly focussing our attention on building Communities of disciples, family members, and missionaries right across SE London and beyond. Sundays matter, of course they do, and we will likely add more Sunday gatherings as we grow, but our primary focus is on launching, growing, and multiplying our Communities.
We love welcoming new people on a Sunday, but we would really love to see you stepping in and joining one of our Communities in the community where you live. And if there isn't one there yet, maybe God is leading you to join us and start one!
