Our Vision, Mission, and Values
We are a diverse, inter-generational, bible-believing, Holy Spirit-led community of people from all walks of life, on a mission to make Jesus known to our local communities, and to the nations of the world.
Our Purpose: We exist to make disciples, family members, and missionaries, of all nations, to the glory of God.
As disciples, we are committed to knowing and growing in Christ. As family members, we are committed to loving and caring for one another. As missionaries, we are committed to loving, serving, and trying to reach people, in the places we love, with the good news of Jesus.
Our Mission: to plant, establish, and multiply thriving Communities right across South East London, and play our part in planting churches beyond; across the UK, and the nations of the world.
Our Dream: we imagine a truly diverse, multi-cultural, inter-generational church; raising leaders, planting churches, impacting communities with the good news of Jesus.
Our Culture: In all things, we desire to act like Jesus; shaped by the gospel, rooted in the Word, reliant on the Spirit, in an atmosphere of grace, and with great joy...
- We look for where God is working, and we change things to join Him.
- We prioritise the least, the last, and the lost.
- We are not in a rush, in God's timing we pray, wait, and weigh.
- We make room for different voices.
- We orient our lives around helping others thrive and grow.
- We raise leaders.
Some really important things we believe: we embrace the Evangelical Alliance statement of faith and have a number of core beliefs that we would hold to as non-negotiable absolutes of scripture; the authority of scripture, the sovereignty of God, the deity of Jesus, the person and work of the Holy Spirit, the reality of heaven and hell, and of judgment and the second coming, the centrality of church and the importance of the ordinances; communion and water baptism.
Our partnerships: we are delighted to partner with Compassion, International Justice Mission, Home for Good, and Safe Families. These are brilliant organisations doing amazing work across the globe.
We also love to partner with other churches locally (through things like Foodbank) and we are members of the Evangelical Alliance.
We love being part of something much bigger than ourselves too. We are part of New Ground, a family of Newfrontiers churches across the world.
