Kids Matter Parenting Programme
A free supportive 6 week parenting programme for families facing challenges.
You are warmly invited to join us for our Kids Matter parenting programme. Running at St Andrews church (St Andrews road, Sidcup DA14 4SA)
A supportive parenting programme, run by trained facilitators (but not experts) who know the challenges of parenting first hand. A non judgmental space and a chance to learn together the skills that help us to create strong families.
Our Kids Matters programmes are free, friendly groups that focus on parental wellbeing and confidence, equipping parents with the tools to build strong relationships with their children.

- Lasts for 6 weeks
- Small groups of 6-8 parents
- Led by someone from your community
- Suitable for families of all faiths and none
- No flipcharts or experts
- Working together with our user-friendly and evidence-informed booklets
- Sitting together around coffee, tea and food
- Share at your own pace and comfort level
Monday 26th January 9:30-11.30am Taster session
Hot drinks, bacon rolls, a friendly welcome and a taste of what a Kids Matter is. Creche available.
Monday 2nd February 9:30-11.30am running for 6 weeks (2nd Feb, 9th Feb, 23rd Feb, 2nd March, 9th March, 16th March)
Kids matter programme + hot drinks, creche and cake. All completely free of charge!
Programme Outline
Taster Session (Monday 26th January 2026)
Session 1 – Being a strong family
Session 2 – Loving our children well
Session 3 – Play, encouragement and listening
Session 4 – Routines, choices and rewards
Session 5 – Family rules and consequences
Session 6 – The bigger picture
Booster Session - Checking in 3 months later

NOTE: All group facilitators undergo a rigorous four-day training delivered by our team of accredited ICF coaches to ensure the programme is delivered effectively.
