Who is Jesus?
No matter what you think of Christianity or the church, you can’t deny that Jesus is the most famous person in the whole of human history.
More songs have been sung to him, pictures painted of him, and books written about him than anyone who has ever lived. Even our calendar is based on his life, dividing time before and after him.
It is fair to say that Jesus is a figure who always causes controversy. Some people love him and some hate him. Either way, everyone has an opinion about him.
But was Jesus a real person? Is there any historical evidence for his life? Check out this video from David Couchman where some professors and historians examine the evidence:
Jesus was a real person who walked on the earth. But the only way to get to know Jesus is to understand what the Bible says about him, which includes what he said about himself.
The best way to do this is to start by reading the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to get an understanding of the real Jesus.
