Communities and Love Bexley
Love Bexley is a support service run by New Community Church for families in need of a little help. We work in partnership with Frontline professionals in order to provide support for families who are most in need. All support is via referrals from Frontline Professionals who refer families to us. We have links with Bexley Children Services, Bexley Social Services, Solace Women's Aid, Bexley Women's Aid and local Health Visitors. Referrals are for a wide variety of items from clothes and toys for babies and children to bigger items of furniture including beds, wardrobes and sofas.
How can your community get involved?
It's part of our mission to help love and serve the least, the last and the lost and there is an opportunity through Love Bexley your community to get involved.
Below are 4 simple ways to do this:
1. Pray as a community for Love Bexley and those struggling in your area.
2. Look at the webpage (updated each week) when you meet to see if anyone can help with any of the needs: www.newcom.church/lovebexley
3. Get involved with delivery of items for any referrals in your area: Lucy Hewitt will get in touch with Community Leaders if a referral is made for someone in your area to see if your community can help.
4. Donate: Some referrals we get require white goods or cooking appliances as they have been rehoused in unfurnished properties, please consider donating so that we are able to provide these families with these items. This can also be found on www.newcom.church/lovebexley
