Students at New Community
At New Community, we love students. We are a church made up of lots of people from different backgrounds, ages and walks of life and we love that our local students are a part of our family here too.

A home away from home
New Community is family for so many, and that includes our students. We’d love for you to find a home here with us too, and to journey with you during your time studying at university.

Snapshot into Student Life
Whether you’re studying at the University of Greenwich, Bird Conservatoire, Rose Bruford College or another local university, you’re invited to join in the fun.
Join us on a Sunday
We meet every Sunday in different locations across South East London to worship Jesus, hear teaching from the Bible, and spend time together as a church family. Our Sunday gatherings are relaxed, welcoming, and centred on helping people encounter God and one another. You’re very welcome to join whichever gathering works best for you.

Connect with Community
Students meet in smaller groups, midweek, called Communities. Communities are where friendships deepen, faith grows, and we learn to live out the gospel together in everyday life. A great first step is joining our Connect Community where you can get to know others, learn more about church life, and explore your next steps.

Connect with Students
As well as midweek communities, our students gather together midweek at various points in the year to share life as friends and explore faith together. These are a mix of socials, often including games and sharing food together, as well as equipping nights where we read the Bible, worship, ask questions and pray together.

Pray for our students
Our vision for the students at New Community is that they will grow to be faithful disciples who love Jesus! To see them serving in church life, growing in their knowledge of the Bible as budding evangelists.
There are three core things we desire as a church to see:
See them saved. To see our students saved and transformed from the inside out by the love of God.
See them baptised. To watch our students publicly declare to seek to faithfully follow Jesus for the rest of their lives.
See them sent out to do the same. For our students to learn key evangelistic tools to share the gospel passionately and lovingly. We desire to see our students so changed by the love of God that they cannot help but tell others the good news.
