What is One Church Month?
Three times a year (in March, July, and November) we set aside a One Church Month — dedicated seasons where we intentionally focus on equipping, prayer, and growing together as a church.
These months include:
teaching and training evenings
times of prayer and worship
opportunities to build relationships across the church
moments to reflect on our vision and mission together
It’s a chance for the whole church family to pause, refocus, and grow together.
One Church Month is one of the ways we intentionally invest in discipleship, leadership development, and the shared life of the church.
What's happening in July
There are gatherings and opportunities happening throughout the month, and we’d love you to take part in as much as you can. Explore the events below to see what’s coming up.

We would love for you to join us for the whole event if you are able, particularly as we gather for a special altogether moment at 4pm, however if you're only able to join in part, we'd still love you to join us when you can. The celebration will culminate in a lively ceilidh which will be run in slots so everyone gets a chance to participate. If you are planning on attending we will really appreciate it if you let us know your preferred slot when you RSVP - We cannot guarantee it will be possible to place everyone in their preferred slot, but we will do our best! See you there!
Something powerful happens when the whole church family gathers to seek God's heart in prayer. Come expectant and ready to pray!
A morning exploring membership - a great opportunity to hear about New Community's unique purpose & mission, and how you can play your part. Over the sessions, you will meet plenty of great people from across our church family, and have the chance to ask loads of questions about who we are and what we believe as a church. We encourage everyone who is not yet a member of New Community Church to do the course. We will provide refreshments and childcare.
An evening to say a huge thank you to our host teams for your dedicated service at our meetings and One Church gatherings! This evening will provide an opportunity to run through some essential safety procedures and training to ensure we are fully equipped when we gather. We will also be reviewing feedback and gain clarity on what it looks like to serve together effectively. Join us for some refreshments, and conversations around what the Host Team looks like at NewCom both now and in the future!
Moments where we can come together as one big church family are always special - but they can be difficult to organise due to limitations of time and space. And that's why we have our Church Weekend Away! This will be an opportunity for us to gather for quality, extended time together, away from normal day to day life. It will be a weekend of fun, teaching, connecting and enjoying time together as a church family as well as celebrating New Community turning 50 years old! There are various options for catering and accommodation including camping, rooms on site and day passes. 👉 Book your camping & house tickets, here. 👉 Book your weekend & day tickets, here.
