Special Offering 2026

In Philippians 4, the apostle Paul rejoices over the generosity of the Philippian church, not just because of their financial support but because it reflected their deep partnership in the gospel and the grace of God. Their giving wasn’t just practical; it was spiritual. Paul calls it a "fragrant offering," a good investment, a fruit-bearing act that pleases God.

Each year, we call the church to give a special offering. This is something we do outside any regular giving that our church family does. The reason? To invest into the kingdom of God across SE London, UK and beyond. Since 2023, your generosity has released over £200,000 to actively fund gospel impact across the Globe. This year our special offering dates are Sunday 20th & 27th September.

We are asking everyone who calls New Community home to prayerfully consider how you can use what God has put in our hands to invest in His Kingdom advancing. 

As in previous years, we will be giving away the firstfruits of this offering to church planting and gospel extension around the globe. Crucially, this year also provides us with the opportunity to invest in what that looks like closer to home in the following ways:

  • We believe that God is opening doors for us to have a full time, permanent home in Eltham to reach and serve that community.
  • We are actively preparing for the same in the North of Bexley Borough to happen in 2027.
  • Alongside this, our social impact across SE London has grown year on year and we long to see greater impact happen in all the places we live, work and play.
