Leading Self
Before you can lead anyone or anything else, you need to be able to consistently and effectively lead yourself. Growing in the discipline of leading yourself is the foundation to any future leadership growth. Five steps to take:
1. Listen and respond Pt1
Listen to the 5 Tips to Growing as a Disciple, Family Member, and Missionary podcasts and create a plan for growing in these areas.
2. Commit to growing as a disciple, family member, and missionary
Check out newcom.church/grow and begin to implement the habits of disciples, family members, and missionaries.
3. Look for ways to use your gifts and talents
There are many ways to use your gifts and talents both outside and inside the church family. Consider how you might serve the church family on a team or by exercising and growing in your spiritual gifts: in Community, on Sundays and throughout the week as the Holy Spirit leads.
4. Create a rule of life
Have a read and a listen to what a rule of life is and then have a go at creating one. More importantly, live it out!
