Whatever You Do

Some estimate we spend as much as one third of our entire lives working.

That means that ‘whatever you do’, whether paid or unpaid, whether you contribute to society directly or indirectly, is really significant.

It means that ‘working out what to do with the rest of your life’, is a really important process.

Unfortunately, many of our institutions (e.g. the education system) are often extremely ineffective at providing us with good tools and healthy direction. To make matters worse, popular culture can often portray two, inaccurate extremes: that work is either meaningless, or the ultimate meaning.

We’re prototyping a course to help people identify ‘what to do with their lives’. With the help of digital tools, proven methods, and deep research, the course will allow you to:

• Discover your talents, with the help of the people you trust
• Identify your options for using those talents to do fulfilling, meaningful work
• Learn from the journeys of others
• Plan a robust, realistic route forward

FAQs:

• Who is this course for? The course is for anyone from mid-secondary school to approaching retirement.
• Do I have to be part of church to take part? No, all are really welcome. Our worldview is shaped by our faith, but our approach and techniques work, and are relevant to you, whether you believe in God or not.
• Do I need to attend in person? No, the current plan is for the course to be online.
• How long does it take? That’s up to you! The resources and sessions will be self-paced and on-demand. We will release more details on the curriculum when the launch date is closer.
• How much does it cost? It’s free, but there’s a ‘catch’. To make sure people complete the course, and get the benefit of it, we’ll charge a deposit, which will be refunded at graduation
