Did Jesus really come back to life?

The central claim of Christianity is that Jesus died and then rose from the dead.
If the resurrection really happened, it changes everything. It means Jesus is who he claimed to be, that death is not the end of the story, and that new life with God is possible today.
Christians believe the resurrection is not just a symbol or a spiritual idea. The first followers of Jesus believed he physically rose from the dead, and their lives were transformed as a result. They went from fear and uncertainty to courage and hope because they were convinced they had truly seen the risen Jesus.
Many people assume the resurrection is something Christians simply accept without evidence. In reality, there are strong historical reasons why millions of people across the world continue to believe that Jesus really did rise from the dead.
In this short video from the Alpha Course, you can explore some of the reasons why Christians believe the resurrection is trustworthy and what it could mean for your own life.
